Video Creation Showcase

Below are select pieces of video content I have developed with clients

National Grid

In my first year as a Developer and Digital Learning Designer, I worked extensively with National Grid, gaining deep familiarity with their brand, tone, and learning needs through a series of video-based projects. I was involved in every stage of production. From initial concept and storyboarding, to filming, editing, refining, and final deployment.

The most notable pieces from my time working with National Grid are:

  • VR Immersive Overhead Craftsperson Video

  • National Grid Winter Message Video

SSEN

SSEN tasked me with a range of video and e-learning projects, many of which ran in parallel and required careful coordination. These projects were particularly rewarding and challenging from a management perspective, as they involved multiple moving parts, including scheduling, filming, editing, stakeholder reviews, and final delivery.

My most notable videos when working with SSEN are:

  • SSEN Smart Hammer Introduction & How to set up video

  • SSEN Entering a substation video

SSEN Videos

Due to the confidential nature of these projects, I’m unable to share visual examples. However, I can provide further insight into the creative and technical elements involved.

  • The Smart Hammer videos featured 3D model integration and kinetic typography to clearly demonstrate the tool’s purpose and daily use in the field. These videos were designed to be concise and visually entertaining as they would be shown during a 8 hour class session. I was responsible for filming, editing, and post-production, as well as managing client feedback through multiple refinement rounds to ensure accuracy and clarity.

  • The "How to Enter" video formed part of SSEN’s wider CAT 1 Qualification training initiative. This slower-paced, instructional piece was created to visually support learners in understanding the key safety procedures and risks associated with entering an electricity substation. The video was developed alongside a sister e-learning module, ensuring a cohesive and engaging multimedia learning experience.

Pitch & Co + Academii

Pitch & Co partnered with my employer, Academii, to develop a multi-week e-learning course designed to help individuals refine and elevate their pitch skills. The project involved a combination of animated content and live-action videos, with each module requiring a strong visual identity.

I was responsible for producing the animated introductions for each course module and enhancing the live-action footage where needed. For the animation I used a mixture of Vyond, PowToons, Illustrator, After Effects, and Premiere pro.

My most notable pieces from working with Pitch & Co are:

  • Module 1 Animation

  • Module 2 Animation

In addition to the English-language versions, I worked on fully translated Welsh versions of each animation, adapting both the narration and on-screen graphics.

Cardiff Capital Region

Working with Cardiff Capital Region was a particularly unique and rewarding experience. The initiative combined Unity game development with custom animated video content, all centred around the theme of green energy education.

For the animation I used a mixture of PowToons, Illustrator, After Effects, and Premiere pro.

My most notable animations from this client are:

  • Underwater Turbine Animation

  • Solar Energy Animation

  • A Brief History Animation

[Please note] due to the confidential nature of these projects as they are not currently public, I cannot show visual representation of the videos.
